I began playing the guitar at the age of 17, learning and playing along with my favourite rock songs, I then discovered the Registry of guitar tutors examinations, I decided that I wanted to work my way through
the grades in order to better myself as a guitarist. I would practice
up to 8 - 10 hours a day.
I felt that doing these examinations opened many doors for me, it helped me to understand many new techniques and style of music including jazz, blues and rock.
I started using these new skills to make a name for myself at the local jam nights, it was here that I was asked to join my current band Rawkas.
Rawkas is a popular rock band that was started over 10 years ago, we play covers from the 70’s through to the current day. We play all over East Anglia each week and have built a large following throughout the area.
Being in Rawkas for many years and playing in front of live crowds has given me great confidence and enjoyment, My aim is to give others the chance of experiencing this, this is why I had to turn my passion for guitar in to a career.
